What a Day!!

I've accidentally break a dish on my dinner time where it rings me up that my mom has actually been doing all the kitchen works since i'm out for my courses and it is so kind of her that always to leave me a portion of dishes just to make sure her daughter had her meal on time and yet i still so careless to drop her beef with ginger onion on the floor :( just feel so bad suddenly. My feeling is that it is not the matter of the dish which had pour on the floor but is the heart of my moms that's why i feel so bad..anyway..let's talk something happy now..

****************

I finally had my gown on last saturday for the international wedding expo in mid valley'08. I am so excited the very morning then i get myself change ready for the day but my other collegues was right i'll only be happy for the first few hours the most later then i'll be damn tired as if i'm carrying a packet of rice standing and walking around the whole entire day, whereas my second day is to wear a traditional chinese kwa. The handwork of the chinese kwa was marvalous but it just look so old on me, at least i think so especially with the bun of my hair haha..this kwa is so much ligter than the wedding gown but is more thick on its material instead..

***************

However, after all this pretty pics there's a bad news behind on the day before the expo was that nicole has been rejected to be their model with an excuse that she has a short hair which their hair stylist has no idea on styling it..what a bad stylist..

Anyway, this is Peary, replacement of nicole

First Show

Demoor's Boutique, a custom made batik boutique own by a Datin in KL is now planning to establish in Milan. Thus, our makeup artist from SNIPS COLLEGE OF ART ACADEMY was highly invited to be their make over consultant for the 15 well known models for the casting of the day. Therefore, we as senior of the class was brought to practical.

***************

This was our first practical with real models and casting on air, even though was tired because we need to gather at 7.15am in our academy before we move on to the site which means we have to wake up and get ourselves ready with makeup at round 5am. Oh gosh, can you feel that? This is life in big city.. no matter how early you wake up and get ready and/or gather yet it'll always just start only at least 1o - 11am due to traffic, finding exact address, the right route and so on..

Behind the scene..

When i reach home was about 6pm then it was heavy rain so my mom switch off her pc and ask me not to use as it was thundering then of cause she was watching series that i do not want to interupt her then..guess what after my shower i went for a lazy nap but i don't know how i make it but i did it that i slept for a 15 hours till the next morning 9.. without waking up for pea or nothing..oh dear i am really a pig..hehe.. and now it's time for bed too.. good night..

My friend "NICOLE"

It's been four months since i took up my make-up course with "SNIPS COLLEGE OF ART ACADEMY". I'm one of the most quiet "so call" student among the others (not believing?) because whatever round my head is just gonna complete my course at the soonest without anymore delaying. At first, i was told by their consultant that i can done my course in 3 three months time but when i first step in to the make-up studio, with the way they teach i guarantee myself that it will take me at least a half to year the earliest to get everything learned. This doesn't mean that they do nothing, is just that they prefer more practical than just teaching skill.

Recently, i know a girl name "NICOLE". She's my classmate, same age with me, a pretty lady and so coincidence that she stay nearby me and guess what we even have the same chinese name. I just wanna take this opportunity to share a good friend with you guys. She find me job sincerely, she's filial, condescension, nice, naive but not idiot and she's friendly no matter in life or love. She's just so innocent and truth.

Today, she might have some trouble that i believe will makes her heart feeling. Nicole, i just wanna let you know, no matter what's the conclusion, i'll stand by your side and don't worry, trust me you always have us and your family. Take it easy and we are the best supporters. Cheers ;D

Dang...dang...She's our "NICOLE"

The house Bunny

Nicole had two premiere tickets of the house bunny from her sis so i went with her yesterday. I didn't notice there will be new movie on show till she told me that and it's bout how shelly (the girl in the above poster) change all the normal girls to their prettiest way. I never thought of watching this kind of girlish movie in a cinema but that makes me thought of the enchanted which is a girlish yet fairy land movie not bad..at least it do wake my girl hormone up and i smile through out the movie

However, the house bunny doesn't really makes me excited of the movie all way long too much but its just a fine movie and i bet guys won't like that but if it's for guys to peek on pretty and sexy girls ya this movie go ahead...haha..so, i guess nothing much to say bout the content of the movie but don't give up to plan to watch the movie for girls who actually wanted to watch so much ya..my words are just single comment..anyway, there's something i dream of from the movie it's "the shelly's bed" hehe..so cool..

Flea Market

It's another weekend.. KL has been raining the whole day, looking at the rain drops with the windy weather let me feel more lonely sigh...

Anyway, salina, chris, nicole and i went to the curve yesterday at damansara cause salina and i never been there so sakai right..hehe.. nothing much to see inside the curve mall where they name it as the cinileisure but instead there's lots of interesting flea market at the outdoor and rows of fancy and english styles restaurants that makes me love so much..nevertheless, it is expensive to spend on each of the restaurants too but worth to have a try.

I saw this cute little baby wear at the brands outlet shop in ikano and did you notice it is calvin klein brand so impress so cute and the shirt is not even the length of my body height hehe..i love it so much but too bad it's too early for me to buy a baby shirt when i dont even have a bf yet haha.. :P

However, after a window shopping we decided to have a movie to spend our time out.. and we finally chose to watch the "Eagle Eye". Tho it's an action movie but it's the first action movie makes me so touch and almost cry at their ending and the most i admire is there's no human betrayer this time good good..no more like usual action movie always ends up with a betrayer among themselves and kill each other. Nice , nice feel free to pay a ticket for yourself and enjoy this movie k highly recommended.. good night..by the way, i've found out the actor of this movie really look quite alike with one of my brunei friend name "desmond" hee other than one is higher on the height and one is shorter, one is chinese and one is english but the feel on the first image really look quite similar haha..

Bangsar Village

Yeap...it's Bangsar Village

I've been staying at home as a lazy worm for few days but luckily salina came to disturb me hehe.. even though she's really a big disturber but at least she do cook me some food too when i'm lazy haha.. Nicole call up yesterday to ask me for accompanion to Jln Ipoh to have something done then when we're on our way back home we actually drop by to Bangsar Village. A place where i used to hear but never knew where it was..It's another new found place with rows of shoplets, restaurants, cafe and a shopping mall. A worthy place to shop around someday. The feel of bangsar are good. Clean, high rank residential area and also foreigners hang out place.

We are in a rush that day so we just have a quick round inside bangsar village mall. It is not as big as i expected but the feel when i first step in was so class..with all branded stuff..less shoppers but strong survivor turnover with all we believe so call regular customer buying costumes or diamonds.

Nevertheless, there's few restaurants which looks tasty with relax concept. One of the restaurant name champain banquet..the store was design with white and england style with lots of red wine all along the wall where let people feel wanted to have a sip so much...

I will arrange and be there to enjoy someday.. Hard earn money need to spend worthly..hehe..

Selamat Hari Raya

Selamat Hari Raya to all the malays or the converter. For those not celebrating, i've found some detais of the meaning of Hari Raya. Let share together...

Hari Raya Aidilfitri (also Hari Raya Puasa, literally "Celebration Day of Fasting") is the Malay term for the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr. Hari Raya is also known as Lebaran. Muslims in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. The term "Hari Raya" literally means "Day of Celebration" — it is also occasionally used to refer to Eid ul-Adha in the form of "Hari Raya Aidiladha". The main greeting used by Muslims in Malaysia and Singapore is "Selamat Hari Raya" which means "Happy Eid" in Malay. Another greeting is "maaf zahir dan batin" which translates loosely to "I seek forgiveness (from you) physically and spiritually", for Hari Raya is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others.

During the Muslim month of Ramadan leading up to Hari Raya, it is mandatory for Muslims to fast from dawn to dusk. All Muslims except the young, old or infirm must fast. Many Muslims also abstain from pleasures such as cigarettes and sexual activities during the daylight of the fasting month. Widely, markets, or 'Ramadan bazaars' are held in many areas around the country, where all sorts of food and kuih — traditional Malay delicacies — are sold for breaking fast or buka puasa. Hotels and restaurants have also exploited this situation to offer exorbitant Ramadan buffets. This practice of overindulging has been criticised by Muslim clerics, notably the mufti of the state of Kelantan.

On the eve of Hari Raya, Muslims will recite the takbir, which is held in mosques and surau (smaller place of worship). In some communities, there will be congregations reciting the takbir from house to house.

In big cities and towns, shopping malls and commercial centres will hold big promotions and price discounts for festive shoppers as people purchase clothes and supplies. Decorations are hung in public areas and Hari Raya songs will be played in shopping complexes. The media, such as the television will host various programs in conjunction with the celebrations.

Many people also traditionally return to their hometown generally from big metropolitan cities to rural areas. This is known as balik kampung — literally going back to one's home town to celebrate Hari Raya with family and friends. At many times, the flux of vehicles on the roads nationwide increased the number of car accidents, including deadly ones, occurring during the festive season. Road safety campaigns are often launched by the authorities ahead of the festivities in the effort of lowering the discomforting number of accidents.

Usually on the eve of the celebrations, family members, especially mothers and housewives, will be busy preparing food, cakes, sweets, biscuits and various delicacies to be served on the day of Hari Raya. Delicacies such as ketupat or rice cake and a meat cuisine called rendang are among the most famous cuisines that are served during this day. Other family members will help in other chores such as decorating and cleaning up the house.

Days before Hari Raya, house compounds, particularly those in the countryside will be lit up with oil lamps known as pelita or panjut. This display of oil lamps will reach its height on the 27th night of Ramadan, called the Tujuh Likur night. 'Likur' literally meaning a figure between 20 and 30, hence 'tujuh likur' means twenty seven. Originally during the early days of the arrival of Islam among the Malays, the purpose of lighting the oil lamps was to attract spirit of passed relatives and angels to descend to people's homes during the night of Lailatulqadar. However after ages has passed, such misconception is regarded counterfactual as much understanding of Islam were obtained. Nowadays the oil lamps are lit solely for decorative purposes.

It is customary for Malays to wear traditional Malay costumes. The dress for men is called baju Melayu while the women's are known as baju kurung and baju kebaya. Traditional textiles such as songket and batik are worn favourably during this day.

Muslims will attend Eid prayer in the morning and consecrate together harmoniously while taking the chance to meet and greet each other. Once the prayer is done, it is also common for Muslims in Malaysia to visit the grave of their loved ones. During this visit, they will clean the grave, perform the recital of the Yasin — a chapter (surah) from the Qur'an and also the tahlil or prayers for the deceased. All these are done in hope that their loved ones are blessed by God and they are spared from the punishment in the grave.

The rest of the day is spent visiting relatives or serving visitors. Hari Raya is a very joyous day for children for this is the day where adults are extra generous. Children will be given token sums of money, also known as duit raya from their parents and elders.

During the night, there are often celebrations with sparklers and firecrackers, albeit restrictions on playing firecrackers enforced by the authorities. Most firecracker stocks are purchased and smuggled illegally from black markets. Safety issues, especially among children are raised and alarming cases relating to injuries caused by playing firecrackers are often reported, which initially led to the banning of playing firecrackers. Despite of the enforcement of banning firecrackers, more Malay children turn to home-made firecrackers such as meriam buluh (bamboo cannon) as alternatives to commercial fireworks. Usually the lighting of firecrackers begins a few days before the end of Ramadan, and continues for about a week afterwards.

Once again, selamat hari raya for pals in Malaysia and selamat advance hari raya for pals in Brunei. Weird huh... coz i heard that Brunei will only have their raya on tomorrow due to no moon shown yesterday but the first thing came to my mind was i thought we are all sharing the same moon how come... haha..
